Some Japanese transportation systems, such as the tram, bus, railway, and automobile systems, have effectively matured, while air transportation systems have potential for growth. The evolution of Japanese air transportation systems will depend on the effective utilization of many local airports as well as general aviation such as on-demand air-taxis.
