Keywords: EDS, assessment, uncertainty, calibration, sensitivity
The Environmental Design Space (EDS) is being developed by the FAA for the purpose of identifying interdependencies in commercial aviation between emissions, noise, and fuel consumption. This paper outlines a structured, repeatable, and verifiable approach for validating the environmental trades within EDS, while establishing model fidelity through uncertainty analyses.
