A wind tunnel experiment was performed at JAXA using a simplified High-lift device model called as “OTOMO”. This paper summarizes the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) research activities, associated with this wind tunnel experiment. Various types of noise reduction devices were designed based on the CFD studies.
