A novel drive concept of the horizontal stabilizer actuator is based on two parallel operating ballscrews. The ballscrew nuts are mechanically synchronized. A multivariable controller is designed. The obtained controller is implemented into the nonlinear simulation model whereby the results are validated by measurements at the THSA test rig.
