The paper is about a research program on system architectures for fly-by-wire actuation of a helicopter main rotor. The performance of the swashplate actuation systems depends on load disturbance provided by the variable pitch mechanism. The kinematic/dynamic modeling of the mechanism, for stationary and transient numerical simulation, is presented.
