A new LES approach is proposed and the capability of capturing the detail flow properties is investigated. The natural transition phenomenon around two-dimensional aerofoil of the NACA0012 under high Reynolds number conditions is focused on. The development of so called T-S wave and the laminar-turbulent transition are clearly captured quantitatively.
