The “Green Freighter” project is a joint aircraft design research project on environmentally friendly and cost effective freighter aircraft of unconventional configuration. The paper explains the objectives of the project and details a hydrogen-powered short-haul cargo aircraft which has been modeled in the multidisciplinary aircraft design tool PrADO.
