We are interested in using Multi-disciplinary design optimization (MDO) approach to formalize our preliminary aircraft design process. To achieve this, highly accurate simulation results from specific disciplines such as aerodynamics and structures are needed. In this paper, a hybrid genetic/interior-point algorithm is proposed as possible candidate for our optimizer.
