The prepreg technique is most frequently used for producing fibre composite structures. Applying liquid composite moulding technologies, weight reductions of 30% and cost savings of 40% are being expected. The shrinkage of liquid resins induces residual stresses that deteriorate the material performance. Using fillers of nanoscaled particles abolish this drawback.
