MODELLING OF DYNAMIC STABILITY DERIVATIVES USING CFD

An exploratory study investigating the feasibility of using a commercial CFD code to model pitch damping derivatives for a low l/d ration finned projectile was conducted. The programme predicted the damping derivatives at subsonic speeds for selected reduced frequencies and were compared to results obtained experimentally.
