GEOMETRY MODIFICATIONS OF NONPLANAR WING TIP DESIGN FOR ADAPTATION TO LOW SPEED RANGE

A study of a novel winglet originally designed at cruise condition was conducted at low speed. Due to the design constraints, the low speed behaviour is quite poor. To improve the aerodynamic performance at low speed, both the usage of moving parts and a redesigned winglet airfoil were investigated successfully.
