BUCKLING OF WING SPARS UNDER COMBINED LOADING

The paper presents: design curves of critical buckling stress for spar panels under combined longitudinal and transverse compression, bending and shear; interaction equations for panels whose stiffeners effectively provide simple support; and design rules for panels with smaller stiffeners. Exact strip results are compared with analytical and finite element solutions.
