A systematic investigation on axi-symmetric slender bodies with minimum drag in the transonic and supersonic flow regime is performed, using analytical, numerical computation and optimization scheme using a Modified Feasible Direction method. Novel results are presented for two general configurations, body with pointed end and body with base area.
