To meet the anticipated future demand for air travel DLR’s Institute of Flight Guidance is investigating Distributed Air-Ground Traffic Management for arrivals in the extended TMA. A 4D trajectory management for TMA is proposed based on direct datalink coupling between the onboard FMS and the ground based arrival manger.
