We propose a multi-agent based real-time architecture providing an efficient, flexible, scalable, and fault-tolerant peer-to-peer infrastructure for heterogeneous IMA that conforms to FIPA standards. It supports safety partitioning and enables avionic components to intelligently and efficiently adapt the network topology and the focus of information processing to current system needs.
