LAMINAR-TURBULENT TRANSITION CORRELATIONS IN SUPERSONIC/ HYPERSONIC FLOW

The extension of a previously proposed flat plate transition correlation to cones and hypersonic vehicle configurations is examined by incorporating appropriate ground and flight test data. Similar transition onset trends are found for a variety of geometric configurations and flight conditions, offering insight to the modeling of the phenomenon.
