INVESTIGATING ACTIVE VORTEX GENERATORS AS A NOVEL HIGH-LIFT DEVICE

A new type of high lift device has been investigated. The flow over an aircraft wing is controlled by using an array of delta wing shaped vortex generators. A computational study was employed, which was validated by wind tunnel measurements. Results did not show the expected effect on lift generation.
