NUMERICAL STUDY OF FLOWS IN THE VICINITY OF AIRFOIL TRAILING EDGE

In order to understand the generation process of trailing-edge noise, flows around NACA0012 airfoil is numerically simulated using the high-resolution CFD. It is revealed that small vortices developed in the boundary layer on the airfoil interact with the flow from the lower surface and generate pressure waves at trailing edge.
