TURBULENT BOUNDARY LAYER FLOW OVER CIRCULAR CAVITIES

Turbulent flow over circular cavities has been experimentally investigated in a subsonic wind tunnel and modeled numerically. The case for which the cavity model’s depth:diameter ratio was 0.47 was a focus due to the previously observed wake flow asymmetry and peak in the cavity-induced drag.
