This paper presents a hybrid simulation technique for the interior coupled vibro-acoustic analysis using a wave-based model for the acoustic cavity and a finite element model for the stiffened shell-stringer fuselage structure. Application of this approach to a DC-8 section shows an improved time efficiency over classical finite element procedures.
