Preliminary studies have shown that torsional vibrations of the stiffeners of a fuselage form a sound transmission path, they excite the adjacent „aircraft skin fields“ in such a way that further “noise sources” arise. The target is to change torsional momentum of stiffeners such that noise exposure can be reduced.
