Both Gaussian and hyperbola-Gaussian complex wavelet identification techniques for detecting pilot-induced oscillation (PIO) are studied. Both complex wavelet filters are derived. A set of logic model and parameters for identifying PIO are determined. The results show both complex wavelets valid and feasible, but hyperbola-Gaussian one is better for real-time detecting.
