SMOOTHED PARTICLE HYDRODYNAMICS SIMULATION OF FUEL TANK SLOSHING

The Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics technique has been used to compute the transient flow field and tank wall forces resulting from fuel slosh in a 2-dimensional model of a partially full wing tank. The simulations show the movement of the fuel and location and magnitude of peak wall pressures.
