STABILIZING A LAMINAR BOUNDARY-LAYER USING PLASMA-ACTUATORS

Electrical driven plasma actuators are placed at the leading edge of a profile and are used to induce disturbances which cause a separated flow to reattach. The actuator is driven by a pulsed AC-voltage and does work as a switchable transition strip with very low energy costs.
