This paper presents new results of a study where various advanced approximation techniques are applied in response surface analyses of aircraft multidisciplinary design and optimisation problems. In particular the accuracy of the approximate representation of design objectives and constraints and the effectiveness of the search and optimisation algorithms are considered.
