Enhanced vision system (EVS) is an advanced airborne system, used to display FLIR-generated runway image and its environment on HUD so that pilot visibility of terrains can be improved. An EVS developed by LIEOE of AVIC I is introduced, including its composition, technical characteristics, critical components and recent developments.
