Reduction of fuel consumption and emissions due to aircraft systems become more and more important. The paper gives an overview on the impact of aircraft systems on fuel consumption and pollutant emissions. As a result, the paper proposes system architectures on aircraft level for reduced fuel consumption and pollutant emissions.
