During “Head-Up Guidance System” approaches the differences and slopes of the stress level seem to be lower shortly before touchdown, at the abnormals’ occurrence, and during go-around-maneuvers. Also the strain of unexperienced pilots tends to be lower compared to autolandsystem-approaches. According to pilots’ rating the HGS improves the situational awareness.
