Fiber Metal Laminates (FMLs) show different failure behavior than metals and full composites. In this paper two items about the fracture of FMLs are presented: failure of the interface in fracture energy testing and failure of (riveted) joints. Both failure types are tested and adequate micro-models are made and validated.
