AVIC1 concluded that it needed to produce a “21st generation” civil airplane —ARJ21 . This is a great ambition project. But we have to face a lot of challenges. The conventional method was too slow and expensive. FAI needed a new approach — Virtual Assembly for the digital design on the ARJ21.
