SHEAR CONTROLLED SWIRL JETS BY HELICAL PERTURBATION WAVE

For the possibility of using artificial means for the excitation of shear layers with application in swirl jet mixing enhancement, a novel helical excitation device is designed. Velocity and turbulence intensity, with and without excitation, are numerically calculated at the various flow speeds and distances from the nozzle exit.
