EVALUATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF MULTIDISCIPLINARY DESIGN OPTIMIZATION STRATEGIES

Several MDO formulations were evaluated and compared to determine which should be envisaged for establishing a practical MDO capability. The methods were tested using two demonstrative examples taken from the literature. The results showed important differences in the behavior of each method, especially concerning reliability and efficiency.
